Blueberries are one of those really healthy foods, and gin has become my favoured spirit. And the combination is sensational. Here are a few serving variations I have tried…
With toasted marshmallows…
With almond biscotti…
Blueberry gin reduction, variations...
- 175 g blueberries
- 1/2 cup gin
- 2 Tbsp blueberry jam or maple syrup
- 4 servings Vanilla ice cream
Blueberry gin reduction
Rince blueberries and add to a skillet
Add the gin
Add the blueberry jam or maple syrup
Simmer until the blueberries break down and the combination starts to thicken
Allow to cool a little
Assemble into a serving bowl/plate: the blueberry reduction, the vanilla ice cream, and the selected variation.

3 marshmallows per person
Brown the marshmallows over a flame (gas hob, bbq, campfire (!) etc)
Bought these from a baker, baking not being a strong point of mine.
I bought pre made croissants and I added my own quality dark chocolate
